Well the Eventing season is truly under way and we have already enjoyed two events with Cornish Boy (Pirate) in glorious weather. Our first event was Tweseldown BE90 where we finished 4th, and then Munstead BE100 his second run at this level, where we finished 2nd, we were beaten by half a point, it is such a close thing these days, he finished on his dressage score and was competing against some pretty impressive big moving horses. We are now off to the Mitsubishi Motors Grassroots Championships which are held at Badminton. So if any of you are going, do come and say hello.
Mean while the two youngsters are now being produced and the 5yo Mr Wiggley Giggley (Patrick) who we bought over from Ireland is about to go to his first party, a Hunter Trials and hopefully will be BE eventing soon. The 4yo Contraband (Darcy) is one of Cornish Boys first crop of Foals and is a very exciting prospect, he will start coming out and doing some Dressage soon.
I have a new ride for 2011, a big thank you to Martha for the offer of the ride of Whimsical (Fizz).
Whimsical (Fizz) and I are having a great start for a new partnership, placed every time out at BE100.
Sadly we have sold Cornish Boy, but happily he has gone to a previous pupil of mine. I wish Charlotte all the best and lots of luck for the future.
Well Mr Wiggley Giggley has officially started unaffiliated eventing, just taking our time and building up confidence and educating this young horse. He is proving to be very straight forward and reliable.
