I started riding at the age of 5 years old, only for my Mother to be told that I was too nervous and might not actually want to ride! and to try again in six months time. After continuous pleading with my parents six months later we tried again with more success. I was lucky enough to get a pony on loan at the age of 12 who helped me build my confidence so much that with help from my instructor, who was retired from the Household Cavalry, I backed my first pony at the age of 13 and started helping other people with their own ponies. Having left school I trained at Wellington Riding and have produced horses for clients and coached at all levels. I compete regularly at British Eventing one-day events producing young horses and have competed at Gatcombe, Windsor, Blenheim and Burghley Three Day events. I have also represented Great Britain as a member of the British Team at Saumur in France. I am a registered British Horse Society and British Eventing Coach, which means I am up to date with the industry’s qualifications and regularly attend refresher courses which offer lots of exciting new ideas for my coaching.
